The Song That Captures Your Love Story: Trending "First Dance" Songs of 2013

You are standing there behind closed doors, hand-in-hand with your new spouse, when finally you are announced to enter your glorious reception area where your loved ones await to celebrate this momentous occasion.  You enter the room with smiles and waves, and are immediately directed to the center of the dance floor for your “First Dance” as a married couple.  All eyes are on the two of you, yet the only pair of eyes that you notice are the ones that belong to the person you said “I Do” to earlier that very day.  The “First Dance” is a moment that captures the hearts of everyone and most importantly you and your new spouse.  When you picture this very moment at your own wedding, what song do you hear playing?  If you have not yet made this decision, we have listed a few tips to help choose the song that captures your incredible love story.

The “First Song” is a key element to show your love and what your relationship is all about.  From the lyrics to the tempo, the song you choose says a lot about how you feel and all about the bond you two share.  It could be that this particular song was from the band you saw for the first time together in concert, the first song you danced to, or it was the song you heard when you kissed for the very first time.  Or maybe this song relates to your life, and/or what you both have been through together.  What ever the reason is, you will want to choose a song that you think represents who you both are as a couple and how you feel towards one another.

If having a themed wedding, you might want to make sure the genre of music blends well.  Vintage weddings are a very popular theme recently, so maybe sticking with a Jazz genre would be the best choice.  Another popular trend is having a “Country/Rustic” themed wedding.  Choosing a song from the “Country” genre would be a wonderful choice.  Plus let’s face it, there are hundreds of  beautiful love songs from this genre.  Considering every detail is important in planning a wedding, so make sure that this song is a wonderful match.

We have been researching, and already in 2013, we have found a lot of trending songs and particular genres couples have been choosing to play for their “First Dance”.  Country, Soft Rock, Contemporary Pop, and even Jazz are all popular genres chosen for this moment.  We have created a list of 30 songs that seem to be trending this year,  to help you find a possible song for this moment that you will remember and cherish for the rest of your lives.
